Clinical Pilates is very different from the standard fitness or gym pilates you know. This service we provide at Wellness Studio is a completely personalized "Medical Exercise" system managed by Expert Physiotherapists, the occupational group that knows human anatomy and biomechanics best. It is the safest method in the world for individuals with conditions such as herniated disc, neck hernia, scoliosis, or joint calcification to strengthen their spines without fear of injury.

Thanks to the spring resistance offered by Reformer / Cadillac devices; your joints are not subjected to the harmful pressures (compression) created by your own body weight. Exercises are performed entirely lying down or sitting, while your spine is supported in the correct alignment (neutral posture). In this way, only the targeted muscle group works, your flexibility increases, and your deep core muscles are strengthened, almost weaving a natural corset for your spine.

In our Pendik VIP studio, we completely eliminate the risk of carelessness and injury brought by group classes. In a room reserved just for you, your physiotherapist stands by you and controls every angle of movement and every breath you take. Course Progression

Physiotherapist Evaluation (Analysis)

Before your first session, your posture, joint range of motion, and muscle strength are evaluated by your physiotherapist. If available, your MRI results are examined.

Breath and Core Activation

The basic principles of Joseph Pilates, the use of diaphragmatic breathing, and the correct activation of deep abdominal muscles (core) are taught.

Personalized Reformer Exercise

Instead of the standard "same movement for everyone" logic, specific exercises suitable only for your deficiencies and complaints (e.g., your hernia) are selected as a result of the evaluation.

One-to-One Control

Exercises are done one-on-one accompanied by an expert physiotherapist. The angle of movement, intensity, and alignment of the spine are constantly kept under control, reducing the risk of injury to zero.

Progression and Difficulty Increase

As your muscles get stronger and your flexibility increases, the difficulty level of the movements is gradually increased by your physiotherapist to reach your maximum capacity.

What is the difference between Clinical Pilates and Normal (Gym) Pilates?
Normal pilates is usually done for general strength and tightening in the form of group classes by "sports instructors" to healthy individuals without any health problems. Clinical Pilates, on the other hand, is applied personally by "physiotherapists" to individuals with ailments such as herniated discs, neck hernias, scoliosis, or those at risk, completely medically and individually (therapeutically).
I have a herniated disc, will I get worse while doing pilates?
Movements performed at the wrong angle in classic gyms can worsen your hernia. However, "Clinical Pilates" applied in our clinic is the safest exercise method because it is performed by physiotherapists who can read your MRI results. On the contrary, your hernia pains mostly disappear because the muscles supporting the spine are strengthened.
Are the classes held as a group or one-on-one?
At Wellness Studio, all our Clinical Pilates sessions are held in our private halls "one-to-one" or "duet (2 people)" to keep efficiency at the highest level and provide maximum safety. We do not have crowded group classes.
I am pregnant, when can I start pilates?
Unless your doctor states otherwise, Pregnancy Pilates can generally be started from the 12th - 14th week of pregnancy (end of the first trimester) and continued safely until birth. In this way, waist/back pains are prevented and a more comfortable birth process is experienced.
Is pilates enough to lose weight?
The primary purpose of pilates is not to lose weight (burn calories), but to shape the body, tighten it, and protect its health. However, when supported by nutrition (diet), an increase in muscle mass will accelerate metabolism, making a significant contribution to your weight loss process.
